Distell South Africa, distillers of Hunters Gold, Savannah Dry, Knight Whisky and Royal Reserve Range of Spirits among others, has opened a new bottling plant in Accra, Ghana. This is after their successful establishment and partnerships in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Angola and five years exportation to Ghana. Inaugurating the brands in Accra, Mr Burton Swain, country manager of Distell Ghana Limited said the plant would serve Ghana and neighbouring countries with their brands of drinks. He said Distell would combine its solid production and marketing expertise with the local marketing, sales and distribution knowledge of its partner to bring top quality products at competitive prices in the Ghanaian market. The striking first impression of the new Amarula Gold is the clear bottle that is well dressed with Amarula's traditional "neck tie". I was fortunate to try it out and im quiet impressed with the distilling artistry that was used. From the moment you pour it into your glass, the soothing marula scent triggers your craving. The spirit neatly settles down and the "screaming" marula aroma gets you in the mood. The first sip gives you a bold, original and totally unexpected taste experience. I had my first sip served on ice just so i could taste the original flavour. Smart choice! Experts say its also best served with ginger ale, apple juice or any other mixer that suits your tango! It is a spirit thats made to be experimented with different mixes for fun cocktails. Its just the beverage i would recommend for the long World Cup nights this winter. And thats just what i will be having while cheering my team in Brazil because the spirit of Africa takes you where you want to be.
